Tish's Story

I met my husband, Lance, when I went to West Georgia after high school. He was from Carrollton,GA. We were married for 25 years and had one son, Jesse (now 33). Most of our married life was spent in or around Douglas County where I taught elementary school. Lance passed away in 1996. I continued to teach school until 2007, at which time, I retired.

He works for AT&T and she teaches English and Journalism at one of the high schools. They live very near me, but I don't have any grand- children yet. They have both been working on higher degrees.
Now, I just enjoy getting together with friends and my mom, who is in assisted-living in Fayetteville. I also find plenty to do around the house. I would love to travel, but I haven't been able to do much of that so far.
