Cory's Story

Life So far here is my life bio. I recently graduated from Saint Peter's College with a Bachelor's Of Science Degree in Computer Science (CIS), minor in Philosophy. Right now, I'm currently looking for work in a IT related field. I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to school to persue something else other than Computers. I am just taking one day at a time. I recently found employment to get some pratical experience (check out my employment section). I already have my licence, and I'm currently saving to buy a vehicle. As far as relationships, well I'm keeping a low profile on that, I'm single and available. Well here's the update to my Bio, hope you all enjoyed it. Peace to all, and be safe! School As far as my schools bio here it goes. I started school at around 1983 or maybe 1984, it's been so long ago, almost 20 years! I guess all of you that read this profile could figure out my age, I'm not ashamed of my age, most of all I'm glad I made it this far were I could be doing something else with my life. Now to my schools bio. I started in nursery school, then pre-K, k-8, then high school. Grades k-4 were spent at Immaculate Heart Of Mary from the years the fall of 1986, through the spring of 1991 up in Wayne NJ. Grades 5-8 were spent at Saint Anthony's Of Padua of Passaic NJ from the fall of 1991 to 1995. I graduated from Saint Anthony's Of Padua in 1995 with a fellow of my classmates that I've noticed since I registered on this site. From 1995-1999, I attended Saint Mary's High School in Rutherford NJ. During that time, I played football, track, involved in the the Computer Club. Here is a (updated) litte something about my school's bio. Hope you all enjoyed it! Please feel free to check out my profile. Peace! College Upon my high school graduation, I had no plans yet for college. I was given two choices by my mother. I had to find work and pay half of every expence in the house (I wasn't feelin' that), or go to college. Dig this, I just graduated and had little or no time to make a decision. Since I applied for Saint Peter's and got accepted. So I called up Saint Peter's to let me in for their fall semester. Thank God I got in at the last minute. Once I got in, I had to go through that freshman orientation crap to get introduced to the campus and stuff. Little do you know, I ran into Alexis at my freshman orientation as I was chechin in that day. To make this bio short, I had to pick a major before the end of the first semester, or risk losing my financial aid. So I picked Computers because I had exposure to computers at ...Expand for more
an early age, at the time during the .com era and a promising carrer after gradution was my major I choosed. I stuck with this major until my graduation this past May. Philosphy as a minor is an interesting choice I made and changed my life and my outlook on the world. I was introduced to the minor after taking my first year of intro courses in philosophy with Dr. Costello, who by far is one of the best professors at Saint Peter's. I thought about it for about a year and decided to take philosophy as a double major in conjuntion to the computer science major. So I approached Dr. Costello with my request to take philosophy as a double major. Since I waited too late, he adivised my to take it as a minor due to the fact I was in my junior year when I made the declaration of my philosophy minor. Through my junior and senior year is where I persued my philosophy minor in conjunction with my computer science major. The reason why I took philosophy as a minor because I needed change, so I found most of my change by reading, studying and getting in some passionate debates with my fellow classmates. During my time at Saint Peter's, I participated in the work study programs like (IRC) and (USS), Commuter Student Association Club, and Computer Club. Sorry about the length of this bio, but I just want to give you my experiences as a undergrad student at Saint Peter's College. Hope you all enjoyed it. Take care! Workplace I am going to list two recent work bio, here it goes. I started my work experience at Saint Peter's Collge as a work study student. I worked in mostly in the technology department because I have some practical exposure to the technology. My first work study job was in the IRC (instructional Resources Center) department. While I was at IRC, I hooked up people with some multimedia equipment, there was some maintenence involved. My second and final work study job was working for the Computer Science department "User Support Services" as a work study computer technician. During my brief stay there, is were I broaden my knowledge of computer related equipment and software, and those end-users, arr...arr...! I've finally recieved employment in a IT related profession. I currently work for SYMS Corp. which is a clothing Retailor. I work as a Help Desk Specialist. I'm there just to get the pratical experience. I plan to move on and get some certifications to make some serious cash. Well here I am again, so I back in the job market looking for some gainful employment. So far here is my work bio update, hope you all enjoyed it! Take care.
