Cossina's Story
College
I originally started college in 1997 but I kept going and stopping. In 1999, I followed behind my then boyfriend (Troy) to Mercy College (which wasn't for me) and ended up going back to what I knew (and loved)...Monroe College.
The thing I remember as my fondest memories had to be my Accounting I class, my friends that semester, my first relationship with a guy from my school (and my last one too) that nobody from there could figure out how I got him (he was considered fine). I remember me and my girls going during break to go get buttered and toasted croissants. Then of course my 2002 graduation! It was so great!

I am currently a sales coordinator for the environmental group of the power and industrial division of Hitachi America, Ltd. It's a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., located in Japan. I basically send out our proposals and handle customer needs, inquiries and facilitate communications between our group and Japan in regards to customer proposals among other duties. That however is my main function. I previously held an accounting position there and before that I worked for Westhab a non profit organization that deals with the homeless population/shelter system. I was an accounts payable clerk there. I'm glad to be out of accounting!
