Courtney's Story
Life
I am working to get together the class list - 2007 is our 20th
I don't have many names and really don't have support and time to dig - sorry. SO Anyone in our class whose address I may not have please contact me please. If you did not get an invite to the grande reunion - I don't have your name.
As for myself - Married with 3 boys - Serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA - with KEYS of Promise. I am also a college student due to graduate June of 2007 - Yipeee and only 20 years after I graduated high school.
School
I had fun at Traip - there were a few moments I would love to erase from the memory banks but hey that is how we learn.
I always had fun hanging out with friends - Sue - Sue - Jeff - Troy - Scott -Cara - Chris
The toga dance we had our senior year was fun - going to basketball games in the old gym was great - Danna crushing my fingers in the van door -not so good!
Walking across the high level brigde - interesting and ok really funny experience
Biggest crush - hmmm - sorry no one could comapre to Sting
Inspired by a Traip teacher - Ms. Ryder of course - somedays it felt like she believed in me more than I did!
Would I do it all over again - there are things I would like to fix - but for the most part it was good.
I had a blast sledding our senior year - can you believe they built houses on our hill? Troy and Chris making me pull the toboggan in the snow was too funny. Whose idea was it to do the Star trek crew?
Oh and when Anne and Sue took me to the Asia for my birthday - "thats a funny place for a fox to sleep"
Craziest would have to be Kevin H. before during and after the prom -
oh and it was crazy not to go to college right after graduation!
College
I get one weekend a month to be a college student - we stay in a hotel room.
It is quite amus...Expand for more
ing - my friends are Rebecca and her dh Al and Darcey who is expecting a little girl soon - yeah we party hardly - hehehehe
Brattleboro is quite the happening town!
Workplace
McDonald's crew kid - had fun with Cheri Stacy and Joyce - those marshwood kids actually believed we were twins with different mothers - duh?
Weathervane - spent more time hanging out with the people there than actually working there.
After high school I went to work at the daycare on the Shipyard - stayed there until I had baby number one
KTP after baby number two - stayed home for a while with baby number 3 - did landscaping for a while - wedding cakes here and there -
Organized the playground committee - no pay but it was full time work!
in 2001 started substitute teaching in the schools - it is actually fun most days - coaching JV softball currently - and will be moving into being an Americorps VISTA in the fall -
Military
I am adding this because of my husband - he was on the U.S.S. Kamehameha when we met and we had some great friends on that boat. Not always the same people.
We had fun at softball games and the cookouts at the mayor of Somersworth's house were always interesting.
Keeping score for the 'a' team when they played in that bug tournament here at the yard. Dave Brooks hitting the ball and having it hit the barracks - often. Those were really good times - not to mention the after the game refreshments at the Chief's club.
Jeff and I would not be married according to him were it not for the club - does that mean he needed to get me drunk or he needed to be drunk - hehehehe.
Bradly leaning the drunker he got and the more he leaned the better he played pool - go figure!
I could have done without much of the drama but the friends we will never forget - those were fun times.
