Courtney's Story
Life
I'm living in Asheville, NC, a place I fell in love with years ago. I moved here in 2002, and I am still quite smitten with this lovely town.
I don't have any children, though I do have a dog, a yellow labrador retriever whose name is Sadie Lou, and a tabby cat named Maggie Mae.
Being single for the past year has reminded me of the horrors of high school and dating. Some days I'd rather have my toenails peeled back slowly than swim in the dating pool!
I have met some wonderful friends here in NC, and I can be found at cafes with friends, with my dog at the French Broad River, or strolling downtown Ashevill...Expand for more

School
I hated high school. Did anyone really like it? That awkward stage is one that I don't have any desire to replay.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Idella Bodie. She inspired me and encouraged me when I needed it most.
Workplace
I have a Masters in Counselor Education, and I have worked in the substance abuse field since 1995. Currently, I'm lead counselor at a medium security men's prison in Asheville. That's typically a really good conversation stopper!! However, it's what I do and enjoy it thoroughly.
