I'm a retired English teacher, but when younger, I was a christian minister and theological/philosophical student till I studied myself out of salvation. Followed a business career for a few years, tried to reorient myself to the world till I settled on teaching in the public schools.
I have traveled much of the world and served in the U.S. Army after I was turned down a philosophical conscientious objector status by the draft board. I lied about my Baptist background to get into the army, once in changed my status to freethinker (most did not know what a Freethinker was at that time) and served honorably.".
