Life I've been in Houston -- with the exception of a two-year assignment in Lafayette, Louisiana -- ever since college at UA, working in the offshore oil industry. I began as a structural engineer, designing offshore platforms. I then worked as a project engineer for several oil compani...Expand for more
es, managing the design, contracting and construction of offshore facilities -- platforms, pipelines and process equipment -- for oil and gas developments. I only intended to stay in Houston for a couple of years, but ended up staying until I retired in late 2015 -- and I'm still here.
