Life It is all too voluminous and complex to list in a few sentences, as much has transpired in just the last 10 years alone I left Torrance in 1991 when construction all but died and property values plummeted. I moved to Hawaii, where I had a home on Maui but lived most of the time on Lanai (where I learned to hate pineapple bugs, cane spiders, and centipedes - it is still fairly primitive there, but does have some beautiful undisturbed beaches and shoreline), and Kaui (where I lived in pretty nice Union housing....until hurricane Iniki struck which devastated the island and left us temporarily cut off and stranded with no running water, power, or food. I had a couple friends pay $100 for a couple cases of warm beer - some people still prey while others are stupid, or desperate enough to pay. However, others were more than generous.
