Craig's Story
After graduation, I attended Willamette University in Salem, OR, and received a B.A. in 1975. Following my Willamette graduation, I moved to southern California, and matriculated into Fuller Seminary in Pasadena in Sept. 1977. I married Shelley in 1979. In June 1981, I received an M.Div. from Fuller Seminary. In August 1984, we moved to San José, Costa Rica with the United World Mission and have been here ever since (with brief trips to the United States and other parts of the world thrown in). We have 3 children -- Peter is a mechanical engineer, is married to Betsy, has 3 children and lives in Vienna, VA; Kristen is married to Chris Johnson, has two boys, is sales rep for a medical service company and lives in Durham, NC; and Karen is married to David...Expand for more
Lee, has a boy who was born on 11/11/2020, is a bilingual teacher coach in the Carol Stream (IL) school system and lives in Carol Stream, IL. My parents lived in Walla Walla until 2011 when they moved to Wenatchee to be near my brother, Scott, and his family. Mom passed away on April 21st, 2015 and Dad passed away on April 24th, 2015.
I am a Professor of Spiritual Formation at an on-line seminary called ProMETA based in San José, Costa Rica. ProMETA has students all over the Spanish speaking world. ProMETA has grown exponentially during the Covid pandemic.
We rarely return to the Milton-Freewater area (although did for the class of 1971 reunion in September 2021). We try to get together with our grandchildren and their parents at least once a year.
