Life This year was my 34th wedding anniversary. I met my husband in college. After two years of marriage I came down with a Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I was treated for it and lucky for me I am in complete remission. Unfortunately the doctors think the radiation I received 30 years ago to cure me caused me to come down with DCIS breast cancer. That is cancer in the ducts of the breast. Lucky for me it was caught early. For all the women out there please go and have your yearly screenings. Nothing showed up on my mammogram or sonogram. I found it when they did a MRI of the breasts. You may be scared of the tests but better to find something early when it can be treated. I had double mastectomies with saline implants and am doing fine so far. After many years of unknown fertility problems, we adopted our daughter Lucy.
