Cricket ( Flora )'s Story

Life Hi all classmates, and there are many, since I went to 9 schools. I was born in Torrance Ca. Raised in Lawndale most of the time by my Grandmother. The rest with my Mom.I married early, just out of the 10th grade. I moved around alot with my husband. we lived in about 9 states. We had 3 kids, all born in Las Vegas. 2 boys 1 girl. Our little girl died in 1974 at age 4. We divorced 2 years later. I'm now remarried. And we've been together 33 yrs. No children. We met when I worked at Northrop Aircraft in Hawthorne. I've also lost my youngest son while he was stationed in Germany. He was almost 21. And had met a wonderful girl there and was planning to marry. My life has had some rough roads, but I'm still kicking and trying to ...Expand for more
enjoy life. There's alot of things and places I'd love to do and see yet. I hope to hear from some of you. It would be fun to catch up and see how life has been treating you. Hey all, I've moved to Ohio as of 06, Big change.. Since moving here, I have taken up quilting with my 2 much younger sisers(shown in picture) and have fallen in love with pieceing, my great husband keeps me happy, with all the fabric he lets me buy, and is happy to help out rip out when I make mistakes, and I also have a very large basement to hold it all.. So I'm happy being what I call, a basement Troll..haha. So let me hear from some quilters out there... Take care all. Cricket (Flora) ps, I hope you know I'm the short one in the pic........LOL
