cristina's Story
I had enrolled At Donnelly College and thngs just did not turn out the way that I intended. I was five days from
school, left Kansas City to Topeka Kansas for 6 LONG years. moved back to Kansas City YEAH. ..with my family
hired on at the BN railroad ( my father, brothers had been supporting their families) in 1979 and still work for this
company. I must admit I absolutely love my job. The only part I hate was moving to Ft. Worth and leaving my grown son
my mother and siblings. It is funny that we take our city/statefor granted once we leave we realize how much we
miss. I have been in Texs since 94 but consider myself a CHIEFS FAN AND ROYALS FAN.I will never be a Cowboy fan. even though I have been in the city during a a Stanley Cup Victory, Superbowl winners, World Series Runner Ups..but I regret never going to a Spirit Fest. For three years I did do meals on wheels in the roughest part of town here in Ft. Worth with another friend (also from Kansas City) to give back. What AN experience.. I DO MEAN ROUGHEST PART.. You know the show "COPS" our clients were on those streets. but everyone has to eat. The elderly were here first. The stories they tell and those...Expand for more
we will miss.
Live each day to the fullest, love your yourself, your neighbor and OMG. My husband has passed on, my children are grown and I am trying to get out of Texas before their children hit their TEENs.
I have always loved ART and envolved myself with the Cultural arts here in Fort Worth, but must admit I miss the
Nelson Art Gallery.. I always loved those field trips. I love musicals, To me Life is good. Life is so short.
I cannot believe I am looking to retirement soon. I still feel like a kid...hey wait up.i'm still enjoying life. My granddaughters tell me I am crazy and I LOVE IT. I actually miss the snow,
I share my home with a friend that needed a second chance, which I find tough. This is a girl that I heard was living in her car. Yet, still working. But, this has been tougher than I thought. She has so many issues and won't face them.
I'm a Christian and to see this person shut my beliefs away hurts. Cruel to say she may have to buy new tires for her little home. God helps those who help themselves. A friend said two months is all she needs to get on her feet, two years and two months later.. I call her MIA, she disappears a lot,
