Crystal's Story
Before I get started let me say once and for all : No I am not and have never been related to Tim or Eva Burris from Emporia...I'm sure they are nice people but I'm not related! LOL I keep getting asked that so I needed to set the record straight.
Life
I just quit my all time favorite job last year to have my baby girl Isabella (bringing the grand total of our family to 5). I was working in the logistics field for Nestle Waters North America in the function of the facilities water planner. I have a great family that includes my two awesome boys (Micah and Gabe) and little miss Bella. My husband Dave is the Finance and Insurance Manager for Saturn of Gainesville Florida...and he is so my better half (if you ask him)...hahaha. I spend most of my time with the kids, working out (my favorite thing to do most days), or running our newest home based business(which this site won't let me show the link to).
School
My first year at NFCC I got involve...Expand for more
d with some extra curricular activities and joined Student Government. The next year I was elected the SGA (student body) President and had a whirlwind of a year. I was fortunate enough to take part in many activities including becoming S.T.R.I.K.E public relations officer, Young Republicans treasurer, Sentinel Ambassadors, and joining Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I received the outstanding student of the year award for SGA (I'll leave out the rest because my vanity is starting to show) and was even featured in the Florida Leader student magazine as a presidential portrait. I'd have to say that my greatest accomplishment to me was doing this all the while taking care of my family...I was the first SGA President to have children. I attended St. Leo University after Graduation from NFCC where I majored in Political Science. I intend to continue my education as soon as my baby girl is a bit older. I'm all set up to start at U.F. in Jan. of 2007.
