Curt's Story

Life Hi All! Don't know if anyone remembers me. I moved around a lot! I was at Tahoma High in Maple Valley, WA in 8th and 9th grade. I moved to Florida and went to Seminole High in 10th grade. I was only there one year, then moved to Seattle where I went to Garfield High and graduated in 1981. At Tahoma, I did cross country, basketball and tennis. At Seminole, I played football and was a swimmer/diver. I also was just getting started on my rock-n-rolling, just learning drums and electric guitar. At Garfield, I continued to swim, and I also played football and did track. While in Seattle I started playing in bands (playing at Funfest as a Junior was my first taste of the stage. Hooked for life!), which eventually led to a career in music and entertainment ending up in Hollywood. Some career high points include working at the world famous Capitol Records recording studio in Hollywood with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Raitt, and the incredible Hollywood "session cats". From there I pursued work as a freelance studio wiring technician and also worked as a recording engineer. I recorded Rufus Wainwright's first album, produced by m...Expand for more
y friend Jon Brion. I can also be seen on the Magnolia DVD in the "making of" extra recording the old Tonight Show big band for a movie cue. From 2001 to 2005 I worked in Post Production, as night operations manager and technical maintenance engineer for Technicolor Sound Services-Hollywood. I went back to freelance in the summer of 2005 to be more able to pursue engineering and wiring jobs and get back to making records. In September 2005, NBC Studios Burbank (home of The Tonight Show, Days of Our Lives, Access Hollywood, Ellen Degeneres, etc) hired me and I am now working as a Broadcast Systems Engineer. Personal: In 1990, I married my cute little actress girlfriend, Heather, that I met in a rock club in Hollywood in 1988. In 1997, we had a beautiful baby girl we named Zola Belle. She's now 10. Heather and I play in a band called "The Trinkets" with our friend Laura Hall (Keyboard player from "Whose Line Is It Anyway"). We haven't played out much in the last few years due to child rearing. There's lots of pix of the band on the internet (google search "trinket concert pictures") if you're curious. Life is fun. Miss you guys. You know who you are!
