Curt's Story

Life Well, I guess we have all reached that point in our life we have started to reflect back and begin to wonder, whatever happened to so and so. So, what's up with me. Business: After high school I stumbled around college for a little while and then into the computer industry. I worked as a trainer for AST Computers, then clawed my way into middle management at ExxonMobil only to see most of the jobs there start to get shipped overseas or canada. So, I moved to FedExKinkos as a senior business analyst which if you have heard what they have said about working for FedEx, it is all true - Best company I have worked for yet. Things are looking good on the job front now. Personal: Was married at 25, bitterly divorced at 27 and at that time swore if I ever met a woman that made that "crazy thought" enter my head again that I would just rent a u-haul, pack all my belongings, buy a large, expensive, diamond ring and then ring her doorbell and leave the keys to the u-haul and the ring on the doorsteps and run like the wind. I figured it would be cheaper and save me some time. zing how stupid we can be when we are young. She was a good woman and had a great heart. As luck would have it though, I did not take my own advice and I met the perfect woman for me. We have been together 10 years and were married at the turn of the millennium, at our place of employment (Y2K and they would not let us off work) and she makes me feel younger and more like a kid every day. It will be great growing old with her. It is amazing what finding the right person will do. I have two step-children that I consider mine - Josh is 25 and James is 18. They both have taught me to have a new found respect for what I put my parents through but I would not trade either or the experiences (another side note: did you ever think you would hear yourself utter the same words that your parents used on you, I didn't but I use them frequently now - the one I like best is "because, I said so"). Anyways, I am signing up on this site to hear from some of the people who's names still conjure up memories from a time where I was much skinner, still athletic and did not have to worry about my next assignment, the mortgage or the honey-do list that is tacked on the fridge. Hope to hear from you!! Hope if you are reading this, it has found you well.
