Curtis's Story
Life
After North, I wasted a lot of time at BC until I finally dropped out. I spent some time in a band, then toured the states as a roadie for Greg Kihn. I finally got my AA from BC, then joined the Marine Corps in 1988 and did four years--got some nice medals and some killer stories.
Ended up in Huntington Beach in 1994, rooming with my old pal Gene Atkins. Kicked him out in 1997 when I married an exotic Asian-American cutie named Lisa. Went to work at Synge.com as a copy editor *after* the dot-com bubble burst, so that didn't last long. Finally graduated in 2000 from U of Phoenix (...Expand for more
BS - Business/Information Systems) and eventually found my way into another editing job, this one at Fancy Publications.
I left Fancy as the associate editor of REPTILES magazine to work in advertising at Y&R. Left after 14 months to go to Creative Ad. Services, a small advertising shop in Huntington Beach where I was a copywriter for another year or so. Now I'm working for the government and that's all I'm going to say about that. But I'm learning new things every day and I'm happy to say I've finally found what I want to do when I grow up. :)
We had our first child, a son, in 2007.
