Cynthia's Story
Life
Since high school, I have joined the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years from 1985 - 1989. Had one child named Matthew in 1988 who is now 30 years old (boy, time sure flies by). Have been married and divorced twice and am now single and loving it!! The majority of my jobs have been in armed security which I have received ny AS degree in criminal justice but am changing to a career in the health field. I feel it's a secure career move with better benefits. My health and happiness are at their peek. Life seems to be going smoothly right now and am very pleased.
School
If I could go back in time I would relive my senior year of high school over and over again. The teacher that inspired me the most was Mrs. Nancy Bradley my data processing teacher. She always stood by me and had faith in me. I'll never forget her. The craziest thing I did would be to get drunk (buzzing) before english class in the 11th grade. Mrs. Yeager knew I was tipsy but didn't do anything for she knew it wa...Expand for more
s a one time thing and I was an "A" student in her class. She was the coolest teacher! The happiest moment would be graduation. I guess it's because we were going out into the world as adults and nothing could stop us then. When u look back now you realize that times a a teenager we not all that bad.
Military
I served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1985 - 1989. Then boot camp was hell but now that I look back it really was not that bad. I guess when your young everything is terrible. Served all my tour of duty at Camp Pendleton, California. Loved that duty station for it was close to L.A. and San Diego. Had GREAT platoon parties with keggers of beer and steaks by DelMar beach. We actually were allowed to drink 2 beers on duty during our lunch hour but of course It was never 2 beers (Ha-Ha)
Miss the military for it's commorodery. No one stabbed u in the back or tried to get u in trouble like the civilian world does. Should of stayed in for I would of had a pension now.
