Cynthia's Story
Hello everyone!
The diagnosis of Autism for both of my sons has been....well, time to hit the books and become their therapist. Washington is ranked 48th in Autism Resources...so please check out my youtube, circus and other sites to see what I've been doing!
NY is ranked 7th...wish I was back there!...But, I continue to help lobby for the Health Care Reform Act to not discriminate against Autism and Asperger's!
I miss everyone! Nancy Brwer changed her e-mail and forget to give me her new one, anyone have it?
Love to Marty, Teri, Theresa, David, and of course..Nancy!
Love and God Bless to all!

If anyone has kids or friends with Autistic Disorders, and they need info, I'm here to help!
A liaison from our Governor's office was on hand at Lake Fair to personally read the folling letter from our Great Governor,Christine Gregoire.
This letter will also be read on both Saturday and Sunday at the Autism Fundraisers while pro2ge' performs, a young boy, diagnosed with Autism, speechless at 5, now SINGS! Proof that Autism is Curable!
Our deepest thanks to our Governor, and to the Senators who have been writing and calling, the Autsm Organizations, and especially to Lake Fair and The Wyatt Holiday Foundation.
As of today, according to the most recent numbers, there are 72 children being diagnosed in this country with Autism. The numbers continue to grow!
We should ALL be a part of the solutions and anyone standing in the way of anything that benefits our children should re-think of what is relevant and critical.
Please, support The Wyatt Holliday Foundation, Lake Fair and anyone and everyone who is a part of what is the most important part of our world...our children!
Greetings from the Governor July 15, 2009
I am pleased to extend warm greetings to all of those attending today's fundraiser for children with autism and their families.

ion and support for families of children with special needs. Autism is not a rare disorder, and yet it is often one of the most misunderstood developmental disabilities. Parents who have children with autism face challenges that are foreign to most families--challenges that require a level of patience, consistency, and courage that inspires me. For the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, and other guardians here today, I want you to know that you're not alone. We may not fully know what causes autism, but, together, we can support cutting-edge research that will help us better understand this disorder, as well as interventions that will help ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
I applaud the Wyatt Holliday Foundation, as well as Clint and Charlie Carden of Pro2ge, for their comitment to helping families and buiding a brighter tomorrow for all kids. Their generosity and spirit of action renew hope, infuse peace, and impart joy in the lives of each family they touch.
Thank you for coming, and please accept my best wishes for a successful event.
Sincerely,
Christine O. Gregoire
Governor
According to the NAA, (National Autism Association), 72 kids are diagnosed with autism each day. The numbers are growing, not just in the US, but globally.
Thank you to Lake Fair for always caring about our community, allowing this fundraiser,(which in the past few days has also gotten the attention of Senators, National Autism Organizations, and the hearts of many). Besides our own Senator Cantwell, we've recieved phone calls & e-mails from more Senators.
Representative Mike Doyle (D-PA), Co-Chair of the Congressional Autism Caucus (CARE), has taken a strong position to push insurance reform, and other crucial interests related to autism, during the mark-up of HR3200 over the next few days.
Lake Fair, The Wyatt Holliday Foundation, along with the help of so many caring people, the media, notices sent by autism organizations including South Sound Parent 2 Parent and others have finally gotten our great State national attention. We are being heard in Washington DC!
Thank you all!
