Cynthia's Story
Life
I graduated from Pattonville High School in '72 and moved to Clarksville, TN shortly after that. In '74 I joined the WAC and came right back to Ft Campbell in uniform after BCT and AIT. I got off Active Duty in '78 and stayed in Clarksville. I reenlisted in the Army Reserves in Sep '83 and then accepted a Unit Administrators (civil service) position for the Reserves and moved to Savannah, Ga. , NC. Geez, what a culture shock that was! I took an early retirement from the UA job in '97 and moved to Spartanburg, SC with my sweet husband. In April 2000 I retired from the Reserves. I'm an Executive Assistant now for the CEO of a metal processing company. I have a wonderful son who is 28 yrs old and he and his wife are expecting their first child, a son, in early Sep '06. I have joined the VFW here and am enjoying it a great deal.
