Cynthia Parker:  

Life I moved to Canada in 1974. Got married to Ron Strem in 1977. We have 3 children, Vincent (26), Grant(25) and Susan(23). Grant married Elissa several years ago and Vince married Tracy June 11, 2005 (see photo - that's me in pink.) Vince is beginning his teaching career this fall - teaching band to Junior High students. Grant is just finishing his geology degree this coming year and Elissa is a teacher. Susan is dating Rob and attends University, with an eye to getting a teaching degree. I went to 2 years of University before getting married and went back to school in 1986, graduating with a teaching degree in 1991 after 5 years of part-time study. After starting my teaching career I went back for 3 summers and got a post-graduate diploma in fine arts (Kodaly Music.) I enjoy travelling with Ron and have been all over most of North America as well as Europe and Hawaii. Ron has a motorcycle and we have had fun taking shorter trips on that. I have recently joined a Sweet Adelines chorus and have had a real blast singing in that. I currently teach grade one students and really enjoy what I do.
