Cynthia's Story
Life
Moved to San Francisco in 1996. Married, no kids.
College
Went to the University of Hawaii-Manoa. I recieved a scholarship from the corporation that owns the Ihilani Resort (forgot the name). However, the money was not enough so I worked full time while going to school full time. Made some great friends there as well.
Workplace
My first job was working as a sales girl for Hillo Hatties store. It was fun and it helped put me through college, accommodating my ever changing schedule. After gratuating from college, I landed a job as a legal assistant for a personal injury firm, through a recommendation of a professor. But after only 6 months and alot of "questionable practices", I decided to leave the firm. I could not stomach what was going on. Then I moved on to work for the Hawaii Opera Theatre, first as a receptionist/admin then was promoted to Marketing Coordinator after only 6 months, working on marketing campaigns, fund-raising, advertising, etc.

rst job I interviewed for I got, as an Admin Asst to a VP of an investment firm. I became his "right-hand man", managing every aspect of his organization from day-to-day operations, to staffing issues to moves/relocations to office buildouts to database development to budgeting. After 3 great years, moved on to become the Facilities & Office Manager of an internet consulting firm, managing 3 offices and about 250+ employees. Then moved to become a Project Coordinator for a telecommunication company working on several initiatives. In 2001, during the dot com bust, I became unemployed. That lasted for about 1 1/2 years. Afterwards, I landed a job as a System Analyst for a bank, supporting and administering a Siebel CRM database as well as User training. After 2 years, I moved on to become a consultant for a well-known biotechnology firm working on a couple of homegrown database systems.
Military
I never joined the military. I have great respect for the armed forces, they are truly a heroic group of people.
