Cynthia's Story
Life
Life bio, huh? Well, here goes. My maiden name is Robbins. I wasn't very involved in school. I am asthmatic and missed a lot of it. Didn't make any real friends. Don't know if anyone really noticed or remembers me. I'm here on the off-chance that someone does. I attended Rivera Elementary and Junior High schools and graduated in 1974 from El Rancho. I married Michael Austin about two weeks later. He went into the Air Force and we were stationed in Denver for about a year, then Albuquerque for about a year. Then we got divorced. Came home to Mom and Dad, went to Rio Hondo, started working. Met my second husband, Marc, lived in Denver for about two years, moved back to California, Torrance/Harbor City area. Had a daughter, got divorced after 14 years. Daughter is now 19, living with me, graduated from high school and going to Rio Hondo.

April 2007 and have been working at getting it decorated and fixed up. I am disabled due to my asthma. I get short of breath and tire quickly but I just sit and rest for a few minutes and then I'm ready to get going again.
My most enjoyable job has been as a copy editor working for three international boating magazines. I also really enjoyed my first job working at Rio Hondo college as a student secretary.
Folks from school will remember me as a slender girl with sholder length blond hair, very quiet and shy. I've pretty much done a 360. I'm certainly not shy anymore and my hair has gotten darker as I've aged. Obviously, I've put on some weight too! HA HA! Oh well, most of us do.
I hope whoever is reading this is doing well and is living a happy life. I may have money problems and lots of other worries, but oddly enough, I am happy. I am greateful for all that I have. My daughter is with me and all I need to do is look at her lovely face and I'm smiling.
