Cynthia's Story
Life
My son will be 22 and I'll be 45 this spring/summer 2009. They grow up way to fast. Thank God for Cell Phones with text messaging! I am able to keep in touch with my grown son who is busy working hard and buying his first house. I was engaged for a short time in 2008, but he got cold feet, again. Where have all the courageous men gone or has someone just sucked the courage out of them? Anyway, got a new man in my life, he's a younger man from the mid-west, we'll see how courageous this one is, I keep u posted.
School
I attended Carroll High School for the 2nd 1/2 of my sophmore year, Hamlin Jr High School, and 3 elementary schools in Corpus Christi, Texas. I had a crush on John Frank Arredondo in Junior High and Roland Garcia in Elementary. I had a picture of "Frankie" from 7th grade but lost it during all the moves. My family moved back and forth from California to Texas several times. I attened 4 different High Schools, 1 Junior High, 7 Elementary Schools ,plus Kindergarden. This made it hard to make and keep friends. My only long term friend is Lorena (Cavazos) Manrod, I met in 6th...Expand for more
grade at Calk Elementary. We still keep in touch even though we have not seen each other in over 20 yrs.
Workplace
I started as a Private Secretary for a woman who ran a church office/child care center/christian school, as a Kelly Temp. Typist, stay at home mom for 10 years while caring for termanally ill grandfather and finished raising younger sister and brother, clerk in small town Convenience store, as a Crew Chief/Supervisor at Mc Donalds and at KFC, supervised a fast service resturant delilvery dept., worked for a telephone survey company and as a clerk at Mail Boxes Etc. at the same time, worked a graveyard shift for a year at a Gas/Convenience Store while being a live-in-Nanny during the day and taking summer college courses. I am currently a Sales Associate/Trainer/all-around-Customer Service at a S.F. Bay Area pet food store company. It seems I have worked my way down and off the stress ladder/multi-job life into an environment where I enjoy my coworkers and customers, have a flexable schedule, opportunity for advancement, good benefits and still have time for my family and hobbies.
