Dale's Story
Life
Well, here it is. I'm married to my best friend Sheila and have 2 wonderfull daughters, one from each of our first marriages. Also now have 4 super busy grandkids, 2 of each as they say. I worked with the federal government for some 34 years in inforamtion technology. Oops, that's right , Duker the 'not so school oriented' ended up in the high tech field and loved it. Now even more joyed that I am retired and travelling, playing golf and and watching those rug rats grow. We see half of them frequently as they live about 3 hours from us but the others are in Monaco so it's at best once a year. Met Sheila through work and we have had a blessed and eventfull 20 years and now that she is retired, looking forward to 20 more. Last year we put together a 5th wheel and truck and away we went for 3 months just after she retired. Getting ready to leave soon for 6 months away from Canada's winters. We live in a rural community just north of Belleville Ontario which is where I went to college after leaving Winnipeg in 1969. Wow, that was forever ago! Got my diploma in what was then called 'Data processing' but it worked well for me in getting the job at was then the old Unemplyoment Insurance Commission. t times which was enjoyable. Our oldest daughter Kristin, is a teacher and liked to travel so it was Columbia, Singapore, and San Fransico now France. Needless to say we missed her a lot so we made excuses to visit which is what we did, except Columbia. Our youngest, Brooke, is following in her mother and father's shoes and works in Ottawa as a systems analyst. So all in all, life is good. Hard to believe it has been so long since Westwood but time passes if you are having fun and no one ever accused me of missing out on that. I still love to golf and play about 4 times a week. Hence the winter vacations in the south as well.
So tha's it on the bio stuff for now.
Now a new update as of Mar./09. Re-conected with Craig and Donna Spencer and spent 2 weeks last year in south texas camping on the beach on the gulf of Mexico. Had a great time and continue to stay in touch. This year included a month in Mexico and now again in south Texas playing golf almost every day. Had our 5th grand baby in Feb. and duffy flew home for a week to help out. I think that's all for now according to the kids so 5 is totally fine with us. All are under 5 so its gets busy in the summer around the pool. Looking at going west in 2010 for the reunion and looking forward to seeing old friends.
