One of Dale's favorite quotes is:""Courage is being scared to death ... and saddling up anyway." ~ John Wayne “A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles.” ~ Tim Cahil "I don't feel old. I don't feel anything until about noon. Then it's time for my nap." - Bob Hope "The Ethical Man Knows He Shouldn't Cheat On His Wife Wheras The Moral Man Actually Wouldn't" - Leroy Jethro Gibbs Let's all come back as Teddy Bears. It won't matter if we are fat or thin and when we get older we become more valuable and we can collect all the hugs and kisses we can stand.". More about Dale:"I am a Santa Claus. I became Santa in 1997 and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Wonderful things keep happening to me since then. In 2004 I got the opportunity to become the Official Santa Claus for the Rogers Vancouver Santa Claus Parade and have been ever since. Since then things have just gotten better and better. Every year I used to take a helicopter flight with Vancouver Helijet and Danny Sitnam (the owner) to the Royal Columbian Hospital to visit with the children. In 2009 then President of Rogers (Cuck Van der Lee) came along for the first time. Boy did he have a ball. Each year I appear at Christmas in July to raise funds and food for the Food Bank, I have been at the Vancouver Board of Trade Year End Luncheons in past years, I have been on Breakfast Television, the Morning News with Steve Darling ...Expand for more
and in 2008 I had the privilege of visiting children at Canucks Place. That was very fulfilling. I was happy that I could bring a little bit of sunshine into their lives. In 2008 I also had the privilege of being Santa Claus in a series of short videos for the web site Wired Santa.com. There are 24 videos. One for each day leading up to Christmas. I hope to be able to do it again. Because of Santa Claus I have even met Jesus Christ himself. That being, of course, Ted Neely of Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2008 after the parade I got a call from my roommate who is the Stage Door Manager at the Centre for Performing Arts and he told me that Ted Neely had a request. He wanted to meet Santa Claus. He had seen me from his hotel window during the Parade. So of course I said yes and went down to the Theatre and waited for him. After he arrived he took the time to talk with me for quite a while and we took pictures. He has some and I have some. He is really quite a sweet man. It is amazing that at 64 years old he is still playing Jesus Christ and he still has the chops to sing that role. It is not an easy role to sing believe me. I used to sing and when I was in form it was tough for me to sing along. In 2009 I met Elvis Impersonator Randy "Elvis" Frisky at the mall when he came to have a picture with Santa with his Mom. I got a picture of him and me for myself. I have also written a book about being Santa Claus that is not ready for publication. I am also immersed in Screenwriting. I have three screenplays on the go. They are basically finished but I am always refining them. I have several more in various stages of writing. I entered two in a Screenwriting contest in 2010. Didn't win one of them, still waiting to hear on another, but got my Script Analysis and am happy. Busy re-writing one of them for another contest. Many years ago I was a Motion Picture Makeup Artist here in Vancouver and in Hollywood USA Am currently between jobs and trying to get back into the acting scene. Appeared in the third episode of a new childrens TV show called "The Haunting Hour". I played Santa Claus. It aired on Christmas Day on the HUB Network in the States.".

I am trying to figure out what model and make this car in the painting is. Pretty sure it is a Cadillac, possibly a 1947 but I can't find a picture of any Caddy with this grill so not sure of the model. Any help here? It's
Does anyone know who painted this? The detail in the painting is amazing. Look at the wood. His Santa belt is a reindeer just like the flag. I think I feel a short screenplay coming on inspired by this painting.
Here is another with a pirate Santa and some others. Not as good.
This is my Mom Kay in 1939 I think in Saskatoon or Brandon Manitoba. Happy Mothers Day Mommy, I miss you every day.
Great piece of art. 4 generations of great makeup artists. Lon Chaney, Jack Pierce, Dick Smith and Rick Baker. What a tribute.
