Dale's Story
I didn’t graduate with my grade 13 class and actually finished my diploma in summer school needing an extra credit. I got married in 1978 to Sylvie Godard and we’re still together. After a brief stint with Revenue Canada I found an entry level job with Bell Northern Research which later became part of Nortel. I worked there for 25 years working my way, with a lot of support from great managers and colleagues and with company paid courses, to my last job as a Network Management Architect.

a a timber frame house on Mississippi Lake west of Ottawa and I went back to school at Carleton earning a BA in Geographic Information Programming and a MA in Geography.
I joined the Federal Government in 2007 as a researcher for the Canada Student Loans Program and retired in 2019. I have a daughter and son in their early 40s both happily married, and three wonderful grandkids 12, 9, and 4 years old.
I played hockey and football at Bell which was great, but I should have focussed more on academics. I have very fond memories of my time at Bell though.
