Dan's Story
Life
Working for IBM as an Account Exec. in Dallas, TX. I went to Dixie College a year before and a year after my mission. I went to the California Fresno Mission. I graduated from Dixie in 1983 and then moved to California and graduated in 1986 with a B.S. in Marketing. I got married to Jolynn Jackson in the Oakland Temple. She has a Marketing degree from Utah State. While in California I got involved with a waterski club and participated in waterski tournaments. I was able to waterski everyday on my lunch hour. In 1987 we moved to Las Vegas, NV. where we bought our first home. We both worked until we had our first baby (Brent)in 1989. 2 and 1/2 years later we had another boy (Jared). While working for IBM in Las Vegas, I was trained to fix about every product IBM sold. The move to Las Vegas got us closer to my parents up in St. George. ng with them. I was promoted to management in 1994 and we moved to SLC and bought a house in South Jordan. We still did a lot of camping and bought 20 acres of mountain property on Kolob Mountain (southern Utah). The kids enjoyed playing in the snow while we lived there and both got started in school. In 1997 I got the opportunity to make a career change at IBM and took a sales job in Dallas, TX area. We really like it down here, a very Christian atmosphere and all our neighbors go to some church. We are very active in our Church (ward) and stay busy with the kids in sports, scouts, piano lessons, etc. We put a big pool in our backyard in 1999 to help us cope with the hot and humid summers. Financially the sales job has been great and I have taken up golf. We visit St George two or three times a year and spend time up on our mountain property. Life is great and I've been very blessed.
