Dan's Story
Life
Where am I: I live in Oakland, CA. I've been in the Bay Area ever since I graduated high school. My brother, my dad, and two of my sisters live here. And, for that matter, so should everyone else. This place rocks.
I live with my wife Cindy and my dog Cosmo, a two-year-old golden retriever. We got married on Kauai in 2004, and since then we've been living the suburban family dream.
After high school: I went to University of California, Berkeley after high school, and graduated with a degree in computer science. Yawn.
Work: I've been in software every since I graduated from Berkeley. Right now, I'm the Director of Products (and a partner) at Digipede Technologies. I've been at startups for most ...Expand for more
of my career. One of these days that'll get me rich.
Fun: This is much better stuff. I spent several years playing percussion in a band called Lawsuit, playing up and down the west coast. In 2002&3, I took a year off of software development to be the tour manager for a rock band (Chevelle, who Kristin Larson introduced me to). Eventually I got tired of living on a tour bus and came home.
Now, I play ultimate frisbee all summer and snowboard all winter. Since summer 2000 I've been teaching myself to play guitar, and I really, really, really wish I had started earlier!
I'm still really close with Kristin Larson (I was in her wedding last summer) and her husband Richard, and I see them several times a year.
