Life Born in the boonies of eastern Okla. in McIntosh Co. Moved to the "big city" of Shawnee in 1953. Attended Jefferson Elem., Junior High and, of course, good old SHS, graduating in '61. Then was OBU, then work as DJ at KWSH, KGFF and finally, KTOK and the Okla. News Network, in Okla. City. From there to the small screen, as I became the weatherman for KTEN-TV, Channel 10, Ada, for the next 12 years. During that time I was divorced, then went to the frozen north (Wisconsin) for a while. Later returned to sell video equipment and then back to radio as I managed a small station in Holdenville. A bit later I became the editor of the Wewoka Daily Times and worked radio part time. Then was the metropolis of Okemah, to edit the Okemah News Leader for 7 years. Then I published the Holdenville Daily News and the Wewoka Times for 3 years before they were sold and I went east to manage the Okla. Bureau for the Southwest Times Record,Ft.
