Dan's Story
School
I enjoyed Rio Grande High School. My only regrets were I was unruly and mean to some people, and neglected some subjects. I did not buy yearbooks, dummy me. I did not do my best. I should have used the guidance office more to explore college opportunities. But I met good people and had fun. I ditched school one day and we partied, that was definately fun. But I did graduate.
College
I took college classes while in the military. The only problem is because I moved so much, my classes were taken at so many different schools. I attended St Leo College in Florida, Kirkwood Community College in Iowa, the University of Maryland, Nazarene Bible College in Colorado, and Burlington County College in New Jersey. I had over 3 years of college, and finally transfered all my credits to get an Associates Degree in Business. M...Expand for more
y only regret is that I did not finish and get a Bachelor's Degree.
Oh well, a public library is a poor man's university.
Workplace
I was a sacker in a grocery story in high school. Then I was in the Army for almost 23 years. Then I drove armored trucks delivering money bags all over New Jersey for a couple of years. Then I worked in a warehouse on an Army base for a couple of years. Then for the last ten years I have been a letter carrier in Trenton, NJ. The key to success: Go to work when you are suppose to!
Military
I spent 3 years in Korea, 2 years in Panama, 3 years in Germany, 6 years in Georgia, 3 years in Colorado, short stints in Texas, Arizona, Indiana, and I've lived in New Jersey for the past 18 years I have lived in Central New Jersey. All in all, I only lived in New Mexico for the first 18 years of my life.
