Dan 's Story
Bizarre... So there I was living in Seattle and about as interested in revisiting my high school days as I was in repeatedly slamming my hand in a car door. Not that it was bad, it was just, well, like Paul I had put away childish things. Jim Love and Don Draper had to practically drag me bodily to our 20-year reunion.
So what am I doing here now? Recently we hired an intern who shares a name with someone with whom I went to school. Oddly enough, I didn't know this person that well back then, nor had we became any closer in the ensuing years; ie, we'd seen one another once. But that seemed to kick off a wave of irresistible nostalgia. So here I am, looking up old friends and acquaintances.

cally disastrous) year of college followed by four in the Marine Corps, infantry. Back to civilian life, back to college. Did fairly well this time, even earned a masters in math. Started teaching college. Although there were some things about it I really enjoyed, I found that teaching wasn't really for me. Went into the business world and wound up in Seattle as a consultant. Life now is very, very good. I love what I am doing and where I'm living. And I can still get back to Oregon from time to time.
Blah, blah, blah. If you've actually read this far, you at least owe me a note for all the time it took me to write this.
Oh, yeah, and I go by Dan now, although I still answer to Dana. I have never quite figured out what my parents were thinking....
