Dan's Story

Life I grew up in Charter Oak Terrace and later moved to Frog Hollow when I was in 8th grade, I kept a pretty low profile at HPHS, I enjoyed my time there and still keep up with quite a few of my classmates and teammates from the track and cross country teams. After HPHS I went to Trinity (B.A.'78) and Drake Law School (J.D. '81). Practiced Law in Des Moines, Baltimore, Dallas/Ft Worth and Tampa. My current job took us to Lake Mary Florida Area. We live in Volusia County, not too far from Daytona Beach. I am Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Nassau Re, a group of life and health insurance companies.. Over the years I have traded emails and messages from dozens of classmates, teammates, and old neighbors through the Classmates website. It has been a real treat to reconnect with old friends, find out what everyone has been up to, where their respective life journeys have taken them and to remember together our years at Hooker, Kennelly and Hartford High. Most recently I have begun studying at Concordia Seminary (St,. Louis) where I am pursuing ordination in the Lutheran Church and I am serving a two-year concurrent vicarage in Deland, FL while I continue to work and study.
