Dan's Story
Life
I enlisted in the USAF in Jan '67. I spent almost 26 years in the Air Force and retired in 1992. After a three day week-end between careers, I went to work for the U. S. Department of Justice. I retired from Justice on 31 Jan 2013 . . . Now I ride my motorcycle . . .
School
I went to St. Lucy's from Kindergarten through 8th grade - Went to St. Albert's Jr. Seminary for 9th and 10th, then finished at St. Lucy's.
I wish I knew more of what happened to the people I went to school with.
College
It took me 20 years to finish college - I'll do it in four in my next life!
Workplace
After I retired from the military, I went to work at the U. S. Justice Department on the Security Staff. I started doing what I did in the military, and after 8 years, moved into Emergency planning - I was the Deputy Assistant Director of the Security and Emergency Planning Staff at DOJ when I retired on 31 Jan 2013.

itary
I enlisted in the Air Force on 25 Jan 67 and retired 1 Aug 2002. I loved the military - had some lousy jobs and some great ones - most were good. I spent a tour flying on the Strategic Air Command's SAC Airborne Command Post, "Looking Glass"; spent a tour assigned to the Air Staff, but detailed to the White House, working counterdrug activites, spent a tour living and working in Seoul, Korea, I spent ten years out of the 25 plus doing "joint duty". I worked for and with all the other services - Army, Navy, Marines, and even the Coast Guard - even got a couple Coast Guard decorations - not common for an Air Force guy. I got to see and live in a lot of places - made me really appreciate how good we have it in the U. S. For those who complain about our country, try living in a third world country - see how those folks live! The biggest thing I miss is the people in the military - they were great.
