Dan's Story
I attended Monclova elementary school and graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 1954. After graduation I and three of my friends volunteered draft into the Army where I spent 18 months in Germany. When I came home from the Army, I married my high school sweetheart, Linda Strayer from Waterville. We lived in Waterville from 1959 to 1973 when we moved to Phoenix ,.Arizona. t grandchild. I am retired now but my wife still works as an accountant in a CPA office. It's ironic that we have switched positions in life. She brings home the bacon while I do the house cleaning, cooking, and take care of our two cocker spaniels. I still enjoy working with my hands in my garage workshop and love to play golf with my sons Brian and Mike. My goal in life now is to shoot my age in golf, but as you grow older it gets more and more difficult!
