Dan's Story
I am curious about what EVERYBODY is doing now, and what they look like, and what they did for the past 30 years.
I can't talk about all that crap; but I can say that I have been spending entirely too much time with that child-rearing thing. Did somebody warn me about that? I can't remember.
I have a daughter by my first marriage. She is twenty-seven, now, and just got her MFA from U of I. She is a metal artist.
Four sons by my current marriage. The oldest is 20 and is a student at Central Washington University. The other three are still at home and still think I should cook for them. They are 18, 17, and 1...Expand for more

Currently I am working, off and on, scoring essay tests written by seventh and tenth graders (the only job I have ever had that required my stupid English BA.) My last long job was making props for an amusement park. Then Six Flags sold the park.
For recreation I read and have a big garden.
For creative expression I have lately been writing and performing stand-up comedy. I danced around this for years, drawing gag cartoons and doing storytelling. But I have only been free to get out of the house at night for a while. I'm having fun with it but it is scarey. Probably, getting scared is good for old men.
