Dana's Story
I guess I need to "elaborate my story" and "share some personal factoids"! Let's see, after lots of college I went to work for the federal government doing research. Somewhere in there after undergrad, I traveled through France, Switzerland, and Northern Italy for a month and a half, which was an awesome experience. Now I still work for the government, the USDA working with lots of farmers/ranchers/the public to improve our natural resources and agriculture=) We were recently back in Cal for two years (while my husband was in grad school), while there I was working for the USDA within the Monterey Bay Natl' Marine Sanctuary trying to help with Water Quality and Agronomy issues! Exciting stuff, especially being there for the spinach/food safety meltdown. Now we are back in NC and I am working as an Area Resource Conservationist. I guess I should back up for a second and let you know about my husband and how we met right after I finished graduate school (literally the night after I defended my thesis I met him...Expand for more
). I met my husband, Mike (oh my it was 9 years ago, I must be aging!), we finally married a few years ago and have lived happily ever after. Mike is in the military, so we get to "travel" aka relocate every so often. While living in Cal, we took the plunge and added Mason Storm (an adorable Min Pin) to our family. He IS the best dog ever! HaHa no really! Well, that is about it. I love to run which is one of the things I miss about Monterey-the beautiful trail on the water; I am currently hooked on half marathons (13.1 miles) and hope to someday do a full one, just never seems to be enough time to commit to the training to do it right?! I am hoping to pick up golf if I ever have some free time, since we now live right on a golf course and I watch other people play every day! I love hanging out with my husband and friends, doing game nights, drinking wine, or just relaxing at the beach. OK, that is more that enough about ME! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying life! Maybe we will have a reunion someday!
