Dana's Story
School
After life at Tigard High, I wandered down 99W about 35 miles to attend Linfield College. Initially, I wasn't even going to apply (I didn't want to be Bubba's little sister for 4 more years), but looking back, I wouldn't change my decision for anything. After 4 incredible years, I went right into graduate school at Boise State University where I earned my Master's in Exercise and Sport Studies in 2003.
Workplace
While in graduate school, I got my first job as an athletic train...Expand for more
er at a wonderful (Ha! Anything but!) junior college in Ontario, Oregon. Needless to say, that didn't last very long. Since then, I have been the Head Athletic Trainer at Saint Martin's University in Lacey (near Olympia), Washington. I have been very fortunate to land such a wonderful job so soon out of school. Saint Martin's is a NCAA Division II school, with about 1000 students. We have 11 athletic teams and I am responsible for health and well-being of all of them. Kinda scary! :)
