Dana's Story
well to start out, i was born and raised in Galesburg. i did 1st thru 3rd grade at L T Stone, then 4th thru ^th at Steele middle school. went 8 weeks at Churchill Jr. High, then moved to Matherville and finished 7th grade at Sherrard Jr. and Sr. high school, then moved to Rock Island and went to Central Jr. High for 2 years. i moved back to galesburg and did 10th thru 12th at Galesburg Sr. High.
the main classes i likes the most were auto shop and the electronics classes.
after graduating i got a job at the former Gamble music Co. where i spent 15 years there til it was sized down. tried going in business for myself and it did not pay well so i went to driving a truck.
on aug, 14th of '01 i wrecked my motorcycle. i was off work for 18 months. they amputated half my rt foot. on feb. 25th of '03 i was back behind the wheel of the truck.
in Oct of '03 a friend i knew back in '88 moved in with me. she has been a god send for me. she took care of my cats and the house while i was on the road, because my grandfather was put in the nurs...Expand for more
ing home and he could not do it any more.
during the early 80's i ran sound for a local band called Dark Crystal. i did that til in '86 when my home caught fire. i then went out and helped out my former auto shop teacher with his funny car for 4 years. that was a fun time. so was the band.
i have never married, just haven't found the right one, plus it is cheaper, ha ha.
i do have 3 nieces, and 2 nephews. 1 each from my brother, they are twins, and the other three are from my sister that she adopted from china.
at this time i am unemployed. i lost my job in june after having an accident, but i should get another one when things in the economy pick up. how ever i did get to go to at least 3 of the class reunions the last one was the 30 year. they have all been a blast. seeing fellow classmates that i have not seen in a long time.
still listen to music and surfing the internet. during the time i was off recovering i was helping others out on TechTVs' message boards.
pretty much i am still the laid back quiet person i was in school.
