Daniel B.'s Story
Life
I graduated from THS in 1971 and went into the Army in 1972. I spent almost 3 years in Germany as a driver, gunner, and tank commander. I took a break for 15 years and went into the Florida Army National Guard in 1990. I was activated for Hurricane Andrew and spent about 4 months in Miami. Along the way, I finally finished my degree and got a B. S. in Business Administration from Rollins College. I also have a son, Shawn, born in 1993. He just turned 11 in October 2004. School
I spent a lot of time in math classes, Algebra I, II, III, Geometry, & trigonometry. At that time, I enjoyed math, now I lean heavily on my calculator. I enjoyed Mrs. Gandy (English), Mr Kelly (Physics), and Mr. Gilchrist. I remember Mr. Kelly's stories about WW II in which he worked on a project that designed a ship with the center of gravity too high and enabled the Japanese to "steal" the plans. Ha! Ha! I was also upset to hear about Mr. Gilchrist.
