Daniel's Story
Life
After graduating from Freedom, I went to Penn State (main campus) for 4 years. I graduated in May, 1979 with a Bachelors degree in Business Mgmt. In June, 1979, I went with Willie Hochstetler on a cross country tour for 6 weeks, hitting 28 states before the adventure was over. We both started our working careers after that, but it was definitely a summer to remember.
I started working for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Hershey, PA, in August, 1979. I then was promoted to assistant manager of the York, PA store in May, 1980. It was in York that I met my wife, Wendy, who had worked for the AAA office of York, PA. She was a York native, but she gave me great directions, so we've been toget...Expand for more

I moved back to the Lehigh Valley in Oct., 1981, to manage and eventually own Case's Tire Co. in Easton. After a very successful 20 years in the tire business, I sold Case's Tire Co. to Lafayette College for an "offer I couldn't refuse"!
I then was employed by the Scott Lot in Allentown, the premier pre-owned vehicle center in the Lehigh Valley. I worked there for over 16 years, until my eldest daughter Ashley got married and moved to Lancaster. She graced us with a beautiful grand daughter, so we moved to the Lancaster area in Sept. of 2017. I now have been at Carmax of Lancaster since March of 2018, and I will retire and live out my life in this beautiful community.
