The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It will be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt----a covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, says the Lord. NRSV Jeremiah 31 vs 31-32 Judgement before the Ancient One....... As I watched in the night visions, I saw one like a human being coming with the clouds of heaven. And he came to the Ancient One and was presented before him. To him was given dominion and glory and kingship, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall never pass away, and his kingship is one that shall never be destroyed. NRSV Daniel 7 vs 13-14 Then I, Daniel, looked, and two others appeared, one standing on this bank of the stream and one on the other. One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was upstream, "How long shall it be until the end of these wonders?" The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven. And I heard him swear by the one who lives forever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time, and that when the holy people comes to an end, all these things would be accomplished. I heard, but could not understand; so I said, "My Lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?" He said, "Go your own way, Daniel, for these words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end. NRSV Daniel 12 vs 5-13 The Prophets Complaint........ O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not listen? Or cry to you " Violence!" and you will not save? Why do you make me see wrong-doing and look at trouble? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. So the law becomes slack and justice never prevails. The wicked surround the righteous----therefore judgement comes forth perverted. Look at the nations, and see! Be astonished! Be astounded! For a work is being done in your days that you would not believe if you were told. NRSV Habakkuk 1 vs 2-5 Eighth Vision: Four Chariots........... And again I looked up and saw four chariots coming out from between two mountains--mountains of bronze. The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses, the third chariot had white horses, and the forth chariot dappled gray horses. Then I said to the angel who talked to me, " What are these, my lord? " The angel answered me, " These are the four winds of heaven going out, after presenting themselves before the LORD of all the earth. Zechariah 6 vs 1-5 The Seventh Trumpet...... Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, " The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.
