Daniel's Story
I went into the USAF in 1976, liked it so much stayed on for over 35 years. I went into the military when it was not popular. Worked for the Government in one capacity or another, saw many wonderful things. They took me in and gave me a purpose. They were my family until I retired. I have a wonderful wife, two kids, and my American Staffordshire Terrier. We live in a quiet neighborhood in Nevada. I live to hunt big game and love the mountains. My sports days are long over, but I like hockey and I am a rabid Red Wings fan. I remember ice skating on the frozen ponds the fire department filled with water to play hockey. Ice Skated at Ford woods, and Hemlock park. Swim lessons in the cold ass water at Hemlock park pool. Summer camp at Camp Dearborn. Bob-Lo Island with a thousand other kids;. Boy Scouts and all the cool camping trips we went on. Sailing on the great lakes with my dad and brothers. I loved fishing in the rivers and streams that cover Michigan. Music: Many various artists. e: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath (saw their 13th at MGM Garden), Korn, Deep Purple, Rival Sons, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Iggy and the Stooges, Grand Funk Railroad, RUSH, Herb Albert and his brass, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Montrose, Sammy Haggar, Van Halen, Metallica, Creed and so many others I can't count. I was classical Music trained from second grade, I like the old masters like Ludwig, Wolfy Mozart, and various others. Country isn't my bag, but I like some of the older artist long gone from the music scene. I have a sound system second to none, been going since 1978. I loved the concert happenings and saw many great artists perform. It was a great time for us rock and rollers.
Literature: I read mostly real life stories and I am very fond of history and philosophy. My specialty is ancient Roman in it's empire days. I collect old WWI, WWII Vietnam War military items. I like my Ford trucks. I have lived in six states, and have visited all the rest. I have seen and been on most of the continents except the Antarctica, Australia and Africa. There is nothing like the Good old USA.
