Dan's Story

How do you do? I do well! My story begins on a cold spring day in April, '56... No, I cannot do that to you. After the graduation dispersal, I wasted two years at Augsburg College in Mpls. I could not cut higher education and liberal arts. Besides, I did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Started working at Northwestern Hospital and went to school to get my certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. That was '76. Met the love of my life and married in '79. he Guard and working in the prison system for 23 years, I am a free man, so to speak. Finished my B.A. in the early 90's and my M.A. in '99. Guess I am addicted to learning. Went back and got my certificate as an EMT-Intermediate. Yeah, I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up. I volunteer seven days a month on a metro area ambulance service. As a requirement to keep my National Registration, I take seminars and courses in as many differant states as I can afford. Never the same town twice. Yeah, I think I finally found what I want to do when I grow up.
