Life My Spouse When I moved to Rapid City, SD in 1976, where I met a couple of guys and moved into their basement apartment. A few weeks later, four coeds moved in above us. One of them eventually became my wife. We moved to Sioux Falls shortly after and got married August 1977. She worked for a local hospital in Sioux Falls for nearly 20 years and then decided on a career change. She got her Masters in education and is now a 1st grade teacher specializing in reading recovery and LOVES it. She wishes that she had started decades ago. My Job Currently working on the overnight shift for AmeriCold Logistics, a distribution center for Morrell's. Bought a motorcycle summer of 2008 and drive it every night to work (when the temp is above 40). I'd forgotten how much fun it is and am wondering why I didn't do it earlier. My Kids: THE number one thing in my life! Both my children are adopted. As I was. And as my father was (this makes them 3rd generation adoptees). As my mother-in-law and her sister. Both my children have been and are VERY active in extra-curriculars (sports mostly) since third grade, something I didn't do at all but now wish that I would have. Daughter Leah was born in 1983: Was in dance from kindergarten to 6th grade. Did gymnastics for a couple of years until it started to take too much of her time (and she broke a few bones). From elementary to high school she was involved in Track & Field, Fastpitch Softball, Basketball (Was on three different teams one year and later broke the HS record for career 3-pointers at 93.), Band (made all-state in trumpet), HS Yearbook staff, boy's basketball Cheerleader, Volleyball, and made the National Honor Society.
