Life
Note: If you're viewing my latest photo from July 22, 2005, I'm in the very front wearing the white polo shirt. The ladies and gentlemen in the photo are employees and former employees from Foster Wheeler Corp.
I was about to be drafted, after graduating from Easton Area High School in 1971. Enlisting in the United States Air Force seem like the best choice. After receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1975, I would continued with my college education, which I had started while in the USAF at the (A.I.C.) American International College, located in Springfield, Mass.
Finally settled down with a special lady in the early 80s. We had 1 son and 3 daughters, who I might add that all 4 of them were very well behave and quite smart! They're a joy in my life. The past 17 years, I have been working for a global engineering and construction corporation based in western New Jersey. Honestly, I've really been quite blessed to have worked with a great group of professionals with a good sense of humor!!! From 2011 to 2013 I had worked for the Allentown Rescue Mission, located on 355 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA.
I do attend and travel to various sporting events and in case you're wondering, I've collected sports memorabilia over the years. Still enjoy listening to music and going to concerts on occasion. Never too old for a good concert! Still have my collection of albums and 45 rpms, but only play the CDS. Yes, I've burned my shared of records and tapes onto the CD format! Just read in the local rag (Express-Times), that the MOODY BLUES will be performing at the State Theater this coming April. Oh yeah...definitely going to see Jon Lodge and Justin Hayward put on a great concert as always...just like a vintage wine...=)
At the present time my nephew Joshua and his wife Angelica and son Adan are living in Newport News, Virginia.. He's stationed at Fort Etuis(spelling). The beginning of October Josh was promoted to Captain!
In May 2005 my younger brother Matt, had survived a FIVE BYPASS OPERATION. Around the second week of May, he had checked into the local hospital for chest pains and then eleven days later he was released. Get this: The cost for his operation and 11 days in the hospital over $325,000.00 ...yes that's right...Thankfully he's insured!
My Mom (Irene), had passed away one week, prior to Thanksgiving Day in 2008. Her death was caused...Expand for more
by the neglect by one or two Nurse's Aid at Gracedale Nursing Home, located in Nazareth, PA. She had endured much pain, due to their stupidity and lack of human kindness. Someday, before I meet our Heavenly Father, I'll forgive them...just can't at this stage in my life. As of October 2011, I had forgiven them by the grace of our Heavenly Father.
It's always a pleasure to hear from my friends from high school, college, military days and work place(s)! I try my best to stay in touch with people, whom I've the pleasure of knowing over the years. Guess you might say, that I'm OLD SCHOOL and proud my head isn't up my lower back end...RLMAO!!!
Note: When driving, just use some good old common sense...I know that it's quite hard putting up with the reckless driver(s), who are looking for a place to have a accident. I'm just really enjoying life...=)
Military
I had ended up with a low number in the draft, so I had made a choice and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four years. The arrival to Lackland AFB, Texas was an initial shock at first. After a few weeks, started adjusting to my new life. It really wasn't so bad at all. Being in shape, prior to basic training did help a lot!
Leaving Lackland, to attend tech school at Kessler AFB, MS was a relief! You were trained to score high on tests-lots of studying after school. After graduating from tech school, I was assigned to different bases, sometimes for temporarily periods of time. This was a great way to see other parts of the world. I did have the opportunity to meet some really good people from different states, countries and provinces. Of course I had my share of both good and bad times, but that's life! I've been able to keep up with current events in the Air Force, by my membership in the Air Force Association and receiving the Air Force Times from a neighbor, who was in the Air Force for 20 years. Funny, we're discharged during the same year. My 39th discharge anniversary was this past June 30th. Hard to believe, that I had enlisted 43 years ago. Almost died 30 years ago, but it wasn't my time in The Book Of Lambs. Funny how the time flies...:)
