Daniel's Story
Life....
I came to Las Cruces and graduated from NMSU in 1986 w/ a degree in Civil Engineering. That is where I met my wife, Lisa. My first "career job" was w/ Bechtel at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant outside of Phoenix, where my first child (James, 1989) was born. I jumped ship and went w/ Fluor Constructors, who moved me to San Luis Obispo, CA, then Brattleboro, New Hampshire. I left Fluor because I didn't want to have my second child (Jessica, 1989) born in New York. My growing family moved back to Phoenix where we lived for approximately one year before moving back to Las Cruces. I was hired by the U.S. Navy at White Sands Missile Range. 1991. After seven years w/ the Navy, I left the government sector and began my engineering practice here in Las Cruces. My company, originally DL Engineering, is now Lilley Engineering, Inc. I plan on living here and raising my kids until they leave for their lives. My three kids are all out of the house and either partially or fully in college. My oldest son, James, is pursuing a baseball career - currently playing independent league professional ball. My daughter, Jessica and my youngest, Jacob, are full-time students here in LC at NMSU. My wife, Lisa, helps me stay on track with the company. We were both completely involved in our kids lives, now we are trying to continue our lives.
