Daniel's Story
When ever I watch the movie Napoleon dynamite it reminds me of myself back in the 80's. I was a big time music lover always had my Panasonic cassette player listening to my favorite rock bands. I remember this one teacher I had named Candy Handy who used to think people looked strange with headphones on there heads. I did not care and I did not let it stop me from enjoying my music. There was times in the hood I used to walk around town (I remember when Encinitas was a town before it became an official city) with my cassette juke box blasting. Now I listen to more mellow music and I enjoy listening to Trance. I miss the good ol' days 1980's it was very different times and nothing compared to this present age. I believe we are that last true generation. When I look at the news and they show how these kids are today and what they are being taught it makes me sad. ation was the first to witness the birth of information superhighway aka internet. My generation also witnessed the birth of compact discs and the slow death of the cassette tapes. I remember the compact discs aka cd costing around $20+ Yep we witnessed history in my generation like the shuttle exsplosion and the Berlin Wall coming down Ronald Reagan was our president at that time. I missed living in Encinitas living with my parents. I loved the backyard bbq's with family and friends from our neighborhood. I always loved it when we had guests over our house. Speaking of bbq's I remember my special ed physical education teacher Mr.Deagal (if I spelled his name correctly) who used to have his students over his house for bbq's. Me and my classmates had lots of fun at his house with plenty of food and beverages. Mr.D introduced me to shark meat and boy was it delicious. Since then I loved shark and cooked it for dinner every now and then.
