Daniel's Story
Daniel Reyes was born in Los Angeles, CA on January 23, 1970. Raised by a single mother who was born and raised in Mexico. Lived in Pasadena, CA for 45 years. Also stayed at his family's Lake Chapala home in Mexico during the summer while he was raised. Attended school at Hamilton Elementary from February 1976 to June 1979, Washington Elementary from September 1979 to June 1982, Wilson Middle School from September 1982 to June 1984, and Blair High School from September 1984 to February 1988. Received the most improved student award while attending Wilson Middle School in 1984 as the most improved 8th grade student. Trained to become a health care billing clerk by taking computer and data entry courses at a vocational school. Started working at California Medical Business Services as a data entry clerk, which includes payment posting, printing refund checks, and assisting the insurance coders, from 1990 to 2003, which is a physician-owned healthcare billing provider. company until August 2014 when the company moved to San Dimas, CA. The company is family-owned. His plans are to travel to find a new job and a place to live depending on the metropolitan area where there is an opportunity. Attended the Tournament of Roses Parade for the last 44 years. Enjoys the outdoor activities during his spare time, and enjoy watching the annual Rose Bowl Game for the last 36 years. Joined the Classmates website on April 2006 and he received profile visits from dozens of his former schoolmates over the last 8 years. Attended the Blair High School alumni reunion on June 9, 2012 which took place at the high school's athletic fields and reunite with alumni who graduated from the school from 1967 to 2012 along with retired teachers, counselors, and a school secretary. It was an unforgettable day for him. His plans while in high school was to marry a Mexican-born or a Mexican-American woman of his age, drive a car and live independently without the presence of his mother. It was something he always dreamed of during the course of his lifetime.
