Let's see ~ ~ Finished 1 year Auto. Tech. program at Arizona Automotive Inst., in Glendale, mid-March, 1981. Tuned and programmed Cable TV converter boxes for Chambers Cable Communications on Sweetser Ave., off Machin near Novato Police bldg., from late 1983 as a Kelly Light Indstrl. Temp., hired as a perm in Febr. 1984, and left there in Oct. 1988 - - too much politics, favoritism, and broken promises about advancing within the company. Wasted 230 U.S.Dolars on their Installer course and never even given the test. Worked at Handi-Kup in Corte Madera, yes- with the big steam tower along the Southbound side of 101, from early 1989 through when my 1st older brother got married in upstate N.Y. in early 1990. Good experience learning to cope with graveyard ||| overnight shift, but no future to speak of. Made spark arrestor mufflers from early 1991 through early 1994 at Erickson Products on Koch ( Service) Road along Northbound 101 just downhill from Mill Valley if driving north. They folded - retired, so I moved on. Worked three jobs including Cook Paging off Kerner, Toys R Us on W. Francisco, and Ross Dress For Less in the Bellam Blvd. plaza that had the now defunct Wherehouse records. In late 1993, a month after I got hired, T.R.U. had another crop of drug-screened employees which included one of the most wonderful, big-hearted, modest, industrious, and FUN young ladies I have ever met, even including all I've met since 1995 when I left Toys R Us. Her name is Noemi, we kept in touch for a few years afterwards as she and her husband, Louis, another first-class individual, moved to Washington State because that's where the U.S.Navy transferred Louis to, and they started yet anew.
