Life ‘A’ohe pau ka ‘iki i ka halau ho’okani is a native Hawai’ian saying that translates as “all knowledge is not taught in the same school.” It is representative of both worlds in which I identify – born of a long-line of native Hawai’ian warriors and Western scholars – and is demonstrative of the values I hold dear, such as service to others, to teaching and learning. I hold a Master's degree in Tribal Governance with a focus on local knowledge preservation. I do executive-level administrative support and faculty development at a local college.
